About Penelope

Born and raised in Leiden of the Netherlands in 1988, of Greek descent, Penelope has been studying the arts under guidance of professional artist & teacher Evangelos Kalogeropoulos (from the Athens School of Fine Arts).

She shares her love for art with her identical twin sister Irina Rammos - her lifelong creative collaborator and her art-sparring partner.

Her work is predominantly in oil pastel, but with experience in both Oil painting, Oil sticks, and Mixed Media. She is most known for her crisp paintings, symbolism and sentiment in her works. She also likes to use her art to reflect on contemporary issues such as sustainability, cultural legacy, breast cancer and disinformation.
